Cardinal Christian Tumi: Democracy is a big word. Its balance sheet is to see in the organization of elections. And I've never seen a transparent elections in Cameroon. Even during the one party system, there was fraud. ELECAM means nothing. I noticed that in Elecam, there are two leaders: an elections officer and president. I do not know who does what. An independent electoral commission is better, it has full authority to manage the elections, the organization's announcement of the results.
